going out with a bang!

In my personal life:

I got to see my favorite baseball player (Ryan Braun) and comedian (Jeff Dunham) in person!

I reconnected with an old friend (love you Neeners) and met another beautiful soul (Miss Caetey, I adore you!).

And… I spent countless hours loving, hugging, and kissing this little guy– my son, Joseph:

My writing life:

In 2012, I published six novellas (The Webster Grove Series, Sweet Nothings) and four novelettes (Just a Little Series).

In the past 365 days, I accumulated 37 (total) Amazon reviews:

And in November, I unpublished Sweet Nothings after a four-month run. This book is (without a doubt) my top-selling and most reviewed book to date. It’s also the book I’m least proud of. As I continue growing as a writer, I have to make important decisions. One of those decisions includes whether or not I want to keep certain books on the shelf. In the end, Sweet Nothings had to go. I experimented with a new perspective, a new pace, and a new genre… none of them seeming to fit “Tracie.” My journey with that story taught me many lessons, but mostly it showed me who I am (rather, who I’m not) as a writer. Because of that book, I was able to identify my writing style. To me, Sweet Nothings was a failure I had to overcome in order to discover my writing idenity. Didn’t know it at the time, but I do now. That’s okay. One step at a time, right? Now, carrying on!

In 2012, I picked up 89 Facebook followers (you guys rock!) and a subscriber list of fifteen.

I’ve had quite a few website visitors (about 3,500) across 56 countries. [How freakin' awesome is that?]

2012 was a year of many accomplishments, none of which could’ve been done without you guys. Thanks for making this one of the best years of my life! It’s been great connecting with each and every one of you. Here’s to an equally awesome 2013!

Now, I’m curious! What did 2012 teach you about yourself? Any resolutions?

All my best wishes from Argentina :)

    • Ah, thanks! Like I said (and will keep saying time and time again), it wouldn’t be possible without each of you cheering me on! Hope the new year brings lots of health, happiness, and love :)

Hi Tracie, I was looking for any new books from you and wondered why “Sweet Nothings” was no longer listed. Now, I know. Even though, I enjoyed the book, you need to do what you feel is right. Happy New Year. Keep writing!!!
